UHY Hacker Young advises on World Options sale

UHY Hacker Young has advised on the sale of World Options, a tech-enabled shipping service provider, on its majority buyout by MBE Worldwide.

Lancashire-based World Options supports over 10,000 SMEs with their shipping needs, from small parcels to large freight, both domestically and internationally. It has over 120 franchises and agents across the UK, USA, Australia, the Netherlands and Belgium.

MBE Worldwide is a commerce-enablement platform providing e-commerce, fulfilment, shipping, marketing and print solutions to businesses and consumers. In 2021, MBE served over one million business customers worldwide, generating €1.01bn (£848m) of system wide sales, through its 2,900+ service centres in 53 countries.

The team at UHY Hacker Young was led by Peter Williams, partner and head of the UHY UK National Corporate Finance group, and Clive Gawthorpe, tax partner.
