KPMG Botswana has announced it has appointed Gosego Motsamai to become its first ever female managing partner.

Motsamai is currently the president of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA), and is one of only two female partners across all African Big Four firms. A fellow of the ACCA, Motsamai began her career at Deloitte in Botswana before moving to KPMG in 1998.

Chairman of KPMG Botswana, professor Wiseman Nkuhlu, said: “As chairman, I am proud to make this announcement and am certain that under Gosego’s leadership, we will see KPMG Botswana continue to be a leading professional services firm in the country.”

Motsamai said: “I look forward to working with the team and lead KPMG through these challenging times as we look to rebuild trust and become the clear choice.”
