PrimeGlobal partners with Sumthing to invest in nature-positive initiatives

The forum featured its inaugural Community of Practice on Sustainability, a day-long workshop with its aim of creating a 'PrimeGlobal Sustainability Charter,' a joint plan of action for PrimeGlobal members

PrimeGlobal has announced its new partnership with Sumthing, a forward-thinking organisation dedicated to investing in nature-positive initiatives, during its PrimeGlobal Business Leadership Forum in Brighton. 

The collaboration will see PrimeGlobal make tangible contributions to nature restoration projects including plastic collection in Cambodia and planting mangrove trees in Kenya. 

Sustainability took centre stage at the three-day PrimeGlobal Business Leadership Forum in Brighton, which attracted over 180 accountants and business advisors to a city committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2030.

With the business of event planning changing, PrimeGlobal said it now considers each of its destinations with sustainability in mind. The forum featured its inaugural Community of Practice on Sustainability, a day-long workshop with its aim of creating a ‘PrimeGlobal Sustainability Charter,’ a joint plan of action for PrimeGlobal members. 

Another highlight on the agenda was the presentation ‘Disruptors: The Accountancy Profession Needs You’ by Mark de Lat of Eshuis Accountants en Adviseurs and Paul Thompson of the European Federation of Accountants and Auditors for SMEs, which highlighted trends, regulations and standards in sustainability reporting and assurance. 

Steve Heathcote, CEO of PrimeGlobal, said: “Brighton is the perfect location for us to meet to celebrate our diversity, share practices to ensure our members are future-ready and make a positive environmental impact through our new partnership with Sumthing. Our forum will ensure our members are equipped to provide the support business needs with AI, sustainability and skills development.
