Kreston Reeves has advised Kent recruitment provider Morgan Jones on its management buy-out.
Morgan Jones was established in 2000 to challenge the recruitment industry model. Taking a customer-focused approach, Morgan Jones earned a reputation for “professionalism and quality.”
The MBO, completed on Monday 21 March will see the 22-year-old East Kent business continue to “grow and thrive” under a new management team.
Kreston Reeves said it was “instrumental” in enabling a deal to take place that supported the aims of the seller, Jonathan and Julie-Ann Clarke, as well as meeting the needs of the new management team, led by directors Kim Tompsett, Nicole Ramsey, Anna Shelvey, and Chelsey Burt-Davies.
The transactions were supported by solicitors Brachers advising the sellers and with the Outset Group representing the management team.
Julie-Anne and Jonathan Clarke said: “We owe so much to our wonderful staff for their unwavering support and continued professionalism in delivering high-end recruitment services to all our customers throughout the UK.
“It is particularly satisfying to note that the legacy Julie-Ann and I have created over the past 22 years is continuing with the people who have dedicated so much time to make Morgan Jones the company it is today. Undoubtedly the business is in very safe hands, full of energy and relishing the opportunity in front of them.”
They added: “We are also enormously grateful for the help and guidance, Scott Miles at Kreston Reeves, gave us to make this deal happen.”
Scott Miles, partner at Kreston Reeves, added: “Morgan Jones has been a long-standing client of Kreston Reeves. We have seen the business grow under Julie-Anne and Jonathan Clarke’s ownership into the region’s leading recruiters.
“We are thrilled to have been able to help both Julie-Anne and Jonathan and the new directors move the business into new ownership that will see it continue to grow.”
