TC Group merges with Berley Chartered Accountants

It is the firm’s second London merger in as many weeks

TC Group has announced a merger with the London-based accountancy practice, Berley Chartered Accountants.

The deal comes one week after the business’ merger with fellow London firm, The Company Books, further consolidating the company’s claims that it is the “fastest-growing accountancy practice in the country”.

Becoming the first UK accountancy firm to offer a full range of investment, legal, and HR advice, TC Group said that last year it entered the UK’s accountancy top 40.

Tim Saxton and David Leigh, partners at TC Group, also acknowledged Berley’s “well-established reputation” both in London and further afield.

They added: “This merger provides a significant boost to our London operation and for servicing clients right across the capital.

“It reflects perfectly our strategy of seeking progressive firms with whom to merge and grow.”

Founded in 1985, Berley specialises in business growth advice, and has recently been approached by a “number of interested parties”.

Mark Levy, partner at the West End company, said: “It was very important to us to find the right firm moving forward to merge with not only for our clients but also for our staff.

“We have known TC for nearly four years and realised they have been very successful in growing where others have failed.”

He added: “By keeping the DNA of the firms they merge with intact which is fundamental. We are very excited about the opportunities this will create for all concerned.”
