Leading global professional services firm Alvarez and Marsal (A&M) has opened its fifth UK office in Glasgow as it continues its ongoing regional office expansion in the UK.\r\n\r\nThe new team will be part of Alvarez and Marsal Taxand, LLP (A&M Taxand), an affiliate of A&M, and will significantly bolster the firm\u2019s tax advisory capabilities across the UK.\r\n\r\nThe team in Glasgow will enhance A&M Taxand\u2019s funds, assets advisory and private client practices in the UK providing alternative asset management clients with advice and reporting services across the lifecycle of funds, from launch to exit.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the team will work with private clients in Scotland. It will work closely with other business units around the U.K., and globally, to \u201ccompliment clients\u201d with A&M\u2019s \u201cfull suite of advisory services\u201d.\r\n\r\nThe new office, based at the heart of Glasgow city centre, will be led by Donald Campbell, who joins as a senior adviser from Deloitte, where he led the private client services team.\r\n\r\nCampbell has more than 30 years of tax experience, advising both individuals and corporations on tax related to M&A, real estate, funds and succession planning.\r\n\r\nHe will be joined by Jordan Brown, who comes to A&M as a director from EY. Brown has over 10 years of experience advising private clients and asset managers on tax issues. Prior to joining A&M Taxand, he was part of EY\u2019s funds tax team.\r\n\r\nCampbell said: \u201cGlasgow has long been a significant hub for asset managers in the U.K., so it was the natural next step for A&M to open its office here.
