Interpath advises Eco-Modular Buildings on Masterkabin acquisition

The deal team, comprising M&A advisory and transaction services professionals from Interpath, was led by managing director Liam Booth, director Kevin Brett and manager James Gibson

Interpath Advisory, the independent financial advisory firm, has advised Dublin-based Eco-Modular Buildings Ltd on its acquisition of Masterkabin Ltd, a supplier of portable and modular buildings in the Munster region.

Founded by Malachy Menton and fully owned by the Menton family, Eco-Modular Building has established itself as one of Ireland’s “leading” suppliers in the industry and specialises in modular offices, classrooms, construction units and bathroom/shower pods.

Innishannon-based Masterkabin provides a range of portable and modular units that can be fitted out for a range of functions, including security units, offices, canteens, laboratory, studios and toilets and shower facilities, as well as secured storage and mobile exhibition units.

The transaction supports the continued growth of Eco-Modular Buildings and supports the diversification of the group’s product offering. Masterkabin will continue to operate autonomously at its base in County Cork, preserving its brand identity, existing customer relationship and partnerships.

The deal team, comprising M&A advisory and transaction services professionals from Interpath, was led by managing director Liam Booth, director Kevin Brett and manager James Gibson.

Kevin Brett, director and head of Transaction Services at Interpath in Ireland, said: “This transaction brings together two well-known and highly complementary businesses in the market that are responding to growing demand for sustainable, cost-effective and rapid modular units across the economy from pharmaceuticals and data centres to the education, food and construction sectors.

“The deal also demonstrates the growth opportunities that M&A can unlock for quality, ambitious businesses. It has been a pleasure supporting Brendan and the team as they further expand the business and look to integrate Masterkabin within the Eco-Mod family.”

Eco Modular Building’s CEO Brendan Menton, added: “Our extensive knowledge of the Portable and Modular Building Industry, combined with our team’s meticulous work ethic and customer-focused approach has grown Eco Mod into one of Ireland’s leading providers. We are delighted to finalise the purchase of such a well-respected brand as Masterkabin and we look forward to working with the Masterkabin team and their valued customers.

“Masterkabin’s established reputation, their experienced team and commitment to excellent customer service align perfectly with Eco Mod’s ethos and values. Together, we will drive innovation, deliver exceptional customer experiences and create even greater value for our combined client base throughout Ireland.”
