Mercer & Hole appoints new R3 New Professionals Committee chair

R3 is the trade association for the entire community of the UK’s insolvency and restructuring professionals

Mercer and Hole has announced that Lee Benmore, corporate restructuring manager, has become the new chair of the R3 New Professionals Steering Committee, which represents New Professionals nationally. 

R3 is the trade association for the entire community of the UK’s insolvency and restructuring professionals.

In addition, Benmore will also continue to chair the new professionals committee within the London and South East Region which provides a platform for young professionals to begin to build relationships with peers at an early stage in their careers with the intention that these relationships grow stronger as they progress throughout their career.

Regarding his appointment, Benman said: “I have a strong passion for New Professionals and take great pride in ensuring that there are structures in place to allow those who wish to further their career have a platform to do so. Personally, it is a great profile building for me and through my involvement in the Committees over the last few years, I have made contacts that will last a lifetime.

“Being chair of the New Professionals Steering Committee, as well as chair of the New Professional Committee for the London and South East Region, provides me with direct access to key stakeholders within R3. This allows me to put forward initiatives and ideas to encourage real change. The New Professionals are the future, and we must ensure we do all we can as an industry to support those who wish to succeed in their career.”

Benman continued: “Having worked at Mercer and Hole for the past six years, some of which were my more junior years, I know first-hand the importance of having a supportive firm who value the importance of investment in rising stars.”

Henry Page, corporate restructuring partner, said: “It is a fantastic opportunity for Lee to continue the work he has been doing over the last few years.
