Deloitte South West and Wales has announced the appointment of Lizzie Hill as new senior partner for the region.
Hill, a tax partner, is a specialist in advising privately owned businesses and a member of the Deloitte private executive group in the UK. She brings over twenty years of experience supporting privately owned companies and has been instrumental in growing Deloitte private in the South West and Wales.
Hill, who is going to be the first woman to hold this role locally, takes over the practice senior partner role from Martyn Gregory, who has been appointed UK M&A lead partner but remains firmly rooted in the South West where he continues as financial advisory lead.
Gregory was practice senior partner for the South West and Wales for nearly ten years and was the driving force in the growth of Deloitte’s practice in the region over this period, including three transformational acquisitions.
Commenting on her appointment, Hill said: “I am thrilled to take on the role of leading Deloitte’s South West and Wales practice. The South West is renowned for innovation and technology, a place where traditional industries collaborate with thriving creative, digital and tech sectors. It’s an amazing place to live and work.
“As a firm, we have exciting plans to grow in the region and I’m looking forward to meeting even more of the fantastic individuals and businesses that call this beautiful part of the country their home.”
Dan Barlow, partner and head of regions at Deloitte, said: “Lizzie is a fantastic addition to the senior partner team. Her knowledge of the region and the clients within it is extensive, as is her understanding of the firm. I know that under her leadership, the South West and Wales practice will continue to flourish.”
Gregory said: “I’d like to congratulate Lizzie on her appointment, she will be a great leader for the practice. This is an exciting time for us and I look forward to supporting Lizzie in her new role.”
