PKF Littlejohn has announced the appointment of Satya Beekarry as a partner in its financial services team in London.

Beekarry has over 18 years of audit and financial reporting experience in the insurance sector, most recently with PwC.

He has experience of auditing insurance brokers, general/life insurance carriers, reinsurers, catastrophe bonds, special purpose vehicles and captive insurance subsidiaries of large listed US, UK and Japanese corporations.

Furthemore, Beekarry is an expert on IFRS 17 and has been an active member of various practice and industry working groups on the topic.

Dominic Roberts, managing partner, said: “PKF Littlejohn has an enviable reputation in the insurance sector built up over more than 150 years – we are one of a small number of accounting firms with in-depth expertise in supporting businesses, their owners and investors across the insurance industry.

“Ensuring that we remain the go to firm for many in the insurance sector is one of our strategic priorities, which is why we invest heavily in our team, from our trainees through to our growing number of partners.”

He added: “Given the sophisticated nature of our client base, it is vital that our people have best-in-class technical skills. Satya’s understanding of the audit and financial reporting process in the insurance sector is second to none, and we are pleased to have him as part of our team. I am confident that his expertise will be in great demand from our insurance clients.

“As well as having a strong client focus, Satya has also been actively involved in inclusion initiatives – something that we value and invest in considerably here at PKF.”
