Azets accelerates Nottingham expansion

The nine new roles will take Azets’ Nottingham Audit and Assurance team to a total of 21 people.

Azets has announced it will grow its Nottingham office with plans to recruit for nine new roles, following a “significant period of growth” across its Audit and Assurance team, as well as its Accounts and Business Advisory Services (ABAS) team.

The Nottingham team is recruiting one director, six seniors, and two assistants into its Audit and Assurance specialism in a bid to support SMEs in the East Midlands and across Azets’ regional network.

The nine new roles will take Azets’ Nottingham Audit and Assurance team to a total of 21 people. Having started with just four in 2019, this represents 425% growth in two years.

Azets said its Nottingham’s expansion is the latest milestone in the delivery of its plans across its Central region, as the firm targets quadruple growth within the next five years.

Meanwhile, the Nottingham office doubled in size within 12 months of moving to its new location in Chilwell and has expanded both its terms of people and clients.

A large part of Nottingham’s recent growth has reportedly come from its ABAS team, which increased by 10 people in the past year through recruitment and office mergers.

Mitesh Thakrar, Azets Audit and Assurance partner in Nottingham, said: “We are continually reinvesting in improving the business, evidenced by our growth in Nottingham. It’s an exciting time to join Azets and help drive even more success for our business and SMEs in the region.”

Nicola Bridgeman, Azets ABAS partner in Nottingham, added: “We’re incredibly proud of everything we have achieved at Azets in Nottingham this year – particularly in the midst of a pandemic and ongoing economic uncertainty.

“We are a people and client focused business and over the past 12 months we have laid important foundations within our ABAS team to ensure we keep growing and keep serving SMEs in the East Midlands and the UK, with a critical period ahead for business.”
