Dave Dunckley, CEO of Grant Thornton, has been awarded a Glassdoor ‘Employees Choice’ award honouring the top CEOs in 2021.
Among chief executives recognised by employees in the UK, Dunckley received an approval rating of 94% based on the anonymous and voluntary reviews Grant Thornton employees shared on the website throughout the past year.
Across the approximately 1.5 million employers reviewed on Glassdoor, the average CEO approval rating is 73%.
When employees submit reviews about their employer on Glassdoor, they are asked to rate several factors tied to their employment experience.
These include rating sentiment around their CEO’s leadership as well as around senior management.
Specifically, when rating their CEO on Glassdoor, employees are asked to report whether they “approve or disapprove of or have no opinion about their CEO’s performance”.
Dave Dunckley was appointed as CEO of the firm in November 2018.
Dunckley said: “The past year has certainly been a unique one, and I’m immensely proud of how our people have responded to the challenging circumstances.
“Receiving this recognition is an honour and testament to the efforts of our wider leadership team, the partnership and all our people in successfully navigating our firm through the pandemic whilst supporting each other.”
