North east-based accountancy and business advisory firm Baldwins has strengthened its leadership team with two promotions.

The firm, which is a CogitalGroup company, has promoted senior accountants, Tom Gale and Louise Watson, to associate directors of its Guisborough office to “continue to enhance its services”.

Gale, who has over 10 years’ experience within the industry, started his career at Baldwins in 2014. He said: “I am really happy that all my hard work has paid off. I want to excel within this firm and thanks to the career progression opportunities Baldwins offers, I know this is possible, so I’m driven to achieve my goals within the company.”

Having worked for the firm for a decade, Watson said she was “thrilled” to have received the promotion, and added: “I am looking forward to learning new skills and developing my personal qualities to enable me to be the best associate director I can be.”

According to the firm, the promotions are “key” to the long term success of the firm’s Guisborough office and they will ensure Baldwins is proactive in meeting their clients’ financial service requirements.

Regional managing partner, Andrew Little, added: “We now believe we have the right balance, with a hardworking and dedicated team in place who are eager to develop their skills and provide the highest quality service for SMEs across the north east.

“We have ambitious growth plans for our 11 offices in the region and we will be looking to recruit further in the coming months.”
