Leonard Curtis has announced the appointment of Jamie Maddox as an associate director in its Manchester office to strengthen its advisory capabilities across the North West.

Maddox joins the private equity-backed corporate restructuring specialist with more than 16 years of experience. During his career Maddox has worked with directors, lenders and stakeholders to deliver turnaround solutions for distressed businesses.

The new associate director has experience across formal insolvency appointments – including administrations, liquidations and voluntary arrangements – as well as independent business reviews, cashflow management and accelerated sale processes.

In a prior role, Maddox oversaw the trading and sale of several complex businesses, including a multi-site jeweller and an automotive manufacturing company.

Maddox said: “This is an exciting time to be joining Leonard Curtis following the investment by Pollen Street, and I look forward to contributing to the firm’s ambitious growth plans. Having worked with several directors and people across the business before, I knew I would be joining an experienced and capable team.

“Leonard Curtis has always had a strong reputation within the industry, which is testament to the quality of its work and its down-to-earth, client-focused approach.”

Hilary Pascoe, director and head of the Manchester office at Leonard Curtis, added: “Jamie is hugely experienced and very well regarded across the region, so we are very pleased to welcome him to the team. His depth of knowledge across both insolvency and advisory work will be of huge value, and Jamie will play an important role in further strengthening our capabilities in Manchester, and across our UK network, while helping to develop the next generation of talent across the business.”
