Leonard Curtis has officially opened a Thames Valley office in Reading as the professional services group extends its presence across the South East. The new base, located in The Blade, will be led by restructuring and insolvency director Dane O’Hara.

The group said the site is intended to support clients across the region as its multidisciplinary network grows. O’Hara has more than 17 years’ experience across restructuring, insolvency and advisory work, including construction, financial services and other regulated sectors

He is among a small number of insolvency practitioners with special administration expertise, an area the business aims to expand. In recent years O’Hara has built relationships with local accountants, law firms, funders and business advisers.

Now based in the area, O’Hara will work alongside business development manager Cameron Harrison to support clients.

Alex Cadwallader, head of London and South East at Leonard Curtis, said: “The Thames Valley has developed into a key business hub in the South so opening an office here is a natural step for us.

“I am confident that Dane, alongside our other directors in this area, will be successful in delivering quality, timely services – in both distress and non-distress circumstances – for local clients and their advisers.”

O’Hara added: “I am looking forward to expanding Leonard Curtis’s offering in the Thames Valley. Whether working with existing clients who have moved to the area or by developing new relationships.

“I believe there is much that we can bring to the region in increasingly challenging times for business owners in all sectors.”

Thames Valley becomes the group’s 30th office and provides an entry point to its UK and offshore team, which advises on restructuring and insolvency, funding, legal services, business support and mergers and acquisitions.
