S&W has appointed Ben Sharpe as international tax partner in its London business tax team.

Sharpe is a corporate tax specialist who advises private equity and non-private equity-backed groups on cross-border transactions and structuring engagements.

He previously spent 15 years at PwC and EY, where he became partner in 2025. At EY, Sharpe worked across international corporate tax advisory and private equity funds corporate tax advisory teams.

In his new role, he will work alongside existing tax and advisory teams to deliver integrated cross-border solutions.

His appointment marks part of the firm’s growth strategy to expand its international tax capabilities for mid-market and international clients.

Sharpe said: “I’m delighted to be joining the firm at a time when international and domestic tax matters continue to remain under significant scrutiny, while showing no sign of becoming less complex. I look forward to supporting the continued growth of S&W and working closely with clients, from private equity and private equity-backed groups through to other ambitious organisations, to navigate that complexity in a practical and commercially focused way.”

Mark Webb, Business tax head at S&W, added: “Ben’s appointment reflects our continued investment in strengthening and broadening our business tax capabilities. International tax is a key area of focus for our clients, particularly in light of ongoing global tax reform and increasing complexity. Ben’s experience and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to support clients with high-quality, commercially driven advice as part of our long-term growth strategy.”
