Azets has announced the appointment of Nicola MacAulay as a new private client tax partner to its Kent office to meet rising business demand.

MacAulay joins the firm from S&W, where she served as a private client director.

Based at Azets’ Maidstone office, MacAulay will hold a strategic remit covering the entire county.

In her new role, she will provide advisory and compliance services across all areas of personal taxation. Her expertise includes income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax for individuals who have generated wealth through entrepreneurship, private equity or land sales.

Azets operates as a specialist business advisor to small and medium-sized enterprises. MacAulay, who became a member of the Institute of Leadership in 2025, previously spent a significant period at Creaseys in Tunbridge Wells.

Eddi Taylor, regional managing partner in the South East at Azets, said: “Nicola is an exceptional operator whose knowledge in the private client tax space is second to none.

“She has a proven track record of building trusted relationships and delivering clear, practical advice to the individuals she supports. We are delighted to welcome Nicola to the team.”

MacAulay added: “I am gratified to have been appointed by such a forward-looking and proactive firm as Azets. It’s an exciting new challenge for me and I was inspired by the firm’s culture.

“I enable my clients to get on with their everyday lives in the knowledge that their affairs and reporting requirements are taken care of professionally, and I help guide them through difficult decisions.”
