TC Group has appointed Richard Dawes to oversee the expansion of its financial planning division.
Dawes, the former head of Evelyn Financial Planning, joins the accountancy and advisory firm to provide strategic oversight for its wealth advisory services.
The appointment is intended to integrate financial planning into the group’s existing tax and corporate finance offerings.
Dawes has 30 years of experience in the sector and has previously managed the scaling and sale of multiple financial planning businesses.
The firm stated the move will support clients through business transitions and long-term wealth management.
Dawes will work alongside the existing leadership team to develop the group’s regulated advice environment.
Stephen Watts, chief operating officer at TC Group, said: “We’re delighted to have Richard on board; his extensive experience and proven track record in scaling financial planning operations are widely recognised across the profession.”
“Working alongside Simon Perkins, our head of financial planning, Richard will support the next phase of growth while building on the strong foundations already in place.”
Dawes added: “Having spent over three decades building, scaling and exiting financial planning businesses, I’m pleased to be working with a firm that recognises both the commercial opportunity and the importance of delivering advice in the right way.”
Simon Perkins, head of financial planning at TC Group, concluded: “Richard’s appointment is a significant step forward for our financial planning capability. His depth of experience in building and scaling high-performing advice businesses will be invaluable as we continue to evolve our offering.”
