TC Group has merged with Thompson Taraz Rand, a move that expands its presence across Cambridge, Lolworth, Newmarket, and Royston locations.

According to TC Group, the transaction aligns with its ongoing merger and acquisition strategy, aimed at providing a holistic service across tax, legal, financial planning, and accounting disciplines.

Thompson Taraz Rand, which provides services to both corporate and personal clients, will continue to operate from its existing regional offices.

Through the merger, these clients gain access to TC Group’s national and international network, while the firm’s employees are expected to transition into the group’s wider career development framework.

TC Group currently maintains a significant UK footprint and focuses on a “joined-up” approach to professional services.

The integration of the Thompson Taraz Rand team is intended to strengthen the group’s delivery of audit and taxation services within the Cambridge business corridor.

The firm’s growth model relies on absorbing regional specialists to enhance its in-house expertise while maintaining local service continuity for existing portfolios.

Clients can continue to expect to receive the advice and service they are used to, with access to new expertise and capabilities to support their ambitions, and employees can look forward to opportunities to support their career progression.”

The partners at Thompson Taraz Rand added: “We are joining the TC Group for the benefits it will bring to our clients and the opportunities for our staff. Cambridge and its surrounding area are places to be, and we believe that being part of TC Group will help us become integral to the delivery of audit, accounting, and taxation services to this area.”
