Deloitte UK is set to promote more than 6,000 employees on 1 June 2026, an increase from the 5,600 promotions recorded in 2025.

The firm has also announced average in-grade salary increases of 4.2% and a 14% rise in its overall bonus pool following what it described as a “very strong” financial performance in FY26.

The firm’s partnership will stand at 1,308 members, with a record 784 equity partners. This includes 48 new partner promotions and the conversion of 68 salaried partners to equity status.

The technology and transformation division led the internal intake with 15 new partners, followed by 16 in tax and legal, 10 in strategy and transactions, and seven in audit.

Geographically, 31% of the new internal partners are based outside of London. The firm also recruited 21 external hires at the partner level during the last financial year.

The financial services sector remains a primary focus, accounting for 29% of the new partner cohort.

27% of internal partner promotions and 38% of external partner hires are women. Meanwhile, 15% of internal promotions and 19% of external hires are from ethnic minority backgrounds.

Additionally, one of the new partners promoted internally is of Black heritage.

The leadership transition will see Darren Graves succeed Richard Houston as chief executive of Deloitte UK on 1 June 2026, while Houston moves to lead the firm’s EMEA operations.

Deloitte is scheduled to release its full FY26 financial results on 30 September 2026.

Jackie Henry, managing partner for people and purpose at Deloitte UK, said: “We are hugely proud of the role our people play in the firm’s success and pleased to recognise the contribution of our highest performing colleagues with an increase in promotions and bonuses this year.”

Richard Houston, outgoing chief executive of Deloitte UK, added: “This significant investment in our people and our partnership reflects a very strong year for our firm and our confidence in the future. Amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, our clients continue to seek our support as their trust and transformation partner. We are well positioned to build on our success in the market – both in the UK and across the EMEA region.”
