Forvis Mazars has announced it has made further progress towards its UK net zero targets in its sustainability report for 2025, supported by improved emissions data capture, supplier engagement and an enhanced environmental management system.

The professional service network’s report laid out its progress against its environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals and restated its commitment to creating a resilient, responsible business that positively affects clients, people and society in the long-term.

When it comes to environmental progress and climate action, the global professional services network said it also kept its 100% zero‑waste‑to‑landfill status across UK offices, supported by continued investment in circular economy principles and sustainable buildings.

The firm also maintained a ‘B’ rating from CDP for Climate Change disclosures, which it said evidenced a systematic and organised method for handling environmental impact.

In terms of social mobility and inclusion, Forvis Mazars said the year saw it support 523 students through its partnership with IntoUniversity, helping young people from under‑resourced backgrounds access mentoring, skills development and insight into professional careers.

The firm also continued to make progress on diversity and inclusion, with female partner representation reaching 31%, up from 22% in 2021.

The Mazars Charitable Trust awarded £811,298 in grants in its final year before rebranding as the Forvis Mazars Foundation UK in April 2025, targeting advancing social mobility across the UK through funding and skills‑based support.

The report also outlined Forvis Mazars’ achievements in governance, quality and public interest outcomes, such as its role in establishing the Centre for Public Interest Audit to strengthen audit quality and build trust across the UK audit market.

The firm added that it is continuing to invest in governance, risk management, technology and people to help both its clients and the broader profession navigate an increasingly complicated and regulated industry.

James Gilbey, CEO of Forvis Mazars in the UK, said: “As a firm, we see ourselves as stewards of not only our business, but also our communities and the environment. This report reflects the growing maturity of our sustainability approach and the steps we are taking to embed ESG considerations more deeply across everything we do.

“By strengthening our environmental foundations, investing in our people and culture, and championing quality and trust across our profession, we are focused on delivering impact that lasts.”
