Forvis Mazars has appointed Martyne Pearson as a VAT partner to lead its specialist team in London.

Pearson joins the firm’s tax practice to support mid-market and international businesses. Her work will focus on the consumer, travel, leisure, and hospitality sectors.

The appointment forms part of the firm’s strategy to expand its presence in key markets and address rising client demand for specialist tax expertise.

Pearson previously served as a VAT partner at another firm, where she advised clients on complex regulatory environments.

Liz Ritchie, head of tax, said: “Martyne brings deep VAT expertise alongside a pragmatic, client focused approach. Her experience advising businesses operating across complex VAT environments makes her a strong addition to our London tax team.”

Pearson added: “I’m very pleased to be joining Forvis Mazars and to be taking on this role at an exciting time for the firm’s tax practice. My focus will be on growing the London VAT team and helping clients address increasingly complex VAT issues with confidence.”
