Kroll has been named the administrator of Heath Springs and Components, a manufacturer of professional-grade springs, clips, and precision formed metal components based in Redditch. The company supplies critical components to industries such as automotive, aerospace, and industrial markets. The appointment was made due to cash flow pressures caused by rising costs. Kroll will seek a purchaser for the business and its assets, aiming to stabilise operations and allow for continued trading.
DSW Capital, owner of Dow Schofield Watts, has expanded its presence in the Midlands by establishing a corporate finance team in Leicester. The team, led by Harry Walker, Fahim Kassam, and Daniel Chouciño, takes advantage of DSW’s incentive for teams of three or more to start their own business. DSW recently entered the Midlands market with the addition of corporate recovery firm Bridgewood. The expansion increases the firm’s licensees to 24, fee earners to 104, and total offices to 10.
Helen Clayton will assume the role of managing partner at PM+M, succeeding Jane Parry, who will retire in April 2024. During a six-month handover period, Parry will work closely with Clayton to ensure a smooth transition. Clayton, a partner in the audit, accounting and advisory team, joined PM+M in 2015 and has been instrumental in the firm’s expansion. The new leadership change aims to continue PM+M’s growth and commitment to clients.
Business advisory and accountancy firm Fortus has made three key appointments to its growing audit team. Frances Howard, as head of audit, along with senior audit manager Tim Bennet and audit manager Jacqui Godden, will strengthen the team, which has seen substantial revenue growth. Howard brings seven years of experience from Azets and holds a Diploma in Charity Accounting. Bennet specialises in non-profit audits, and Godden has over 16 years of experience in accounts and audit roles. These additions enhance Fortus’s audit and assurance services.
