In his new role, he will be responsible for the strategic direction and operational excellence of the firm’s global hedge accounting team.
Roberts brings over 15 years of experience in accounting and financial risk management to his new role, making him the “ideal” choice for this position.
He has previously served under other roles and functions at the firm, as he has most recently led Chatham’s European hedge accounting team.
Prior to joining the firm, Roberts held accounting and audit positions at Barclays, PwC, and Arram Berlyn Gardner.

Roberts said: “I am honoured to lead Chatham’s global accounting practice. As the landscape of derivatives and hedge accounting continues to evolve, our team is well-positioned to navigate these changes and provide innovative solutions to our clients.
“This means having a team who are best in class in this technical specialism, and I remain committed to developing our accounting team members’ talents and investing in their continuing education.”
Amanda Breslin, COO of Chatham Financial, added: “Kern’s exceptional track record, combined with his deep knowledge of accounting, makes him the perfect fit for this role.
“Kern and team’s expertise combined with our accounting technology capabilities work in concert to address specific client needs and optimise their programs.”
