Hazlewoods Corporate Finance has recently advised EJ Group Inc, a supplier of access solutions to the water, sewer, telecommunications and utility networks, on its latest acquisition of Swarm Water Management Ltd.

As a global business with more than 140 years’ experience, EJ designs, manufactures and distributes access covers, manhole covers and drainage gratings worldwide.

The acquisition comes as EJ Group aims to build upon its established UK reputation as a supplier of the largest range of access solutions.

Swarm Water Management Ltd is a UK-based manufacturer specialising in surface water drainage products and will be joining, and benefiting from EJ’s “established” commercial presence, which includes sales offices, manufacturing facilities and distribution hubs.

Padraig Freeman, executive VP of business development and strategy for EJ Group, said: “Having worked on previous transactions with Hazlewoods, we were delighted to re-engage with their team to assist us in carrying out the financial due diligence of Swarm.

“We found them to be highly professional and supportive in the financial analysis as well as bringing added value in terms of insights on the data and market.”

Rich Grover, corporate finance director at Hazlewoods, said: “We are very happy to have supported EJ with this transaction, with both companies being a water-tight fit for each other. We wish them the very best going forward.”
