The TaxAssist Group has appointed Caron Betts FCA as practice development and learning manager, further strengthening the support available to its growing network of accountancy practices across the UK.

Betts will play a key role in driving learning, innovation and performance throughout the network, helping franchisees and their teams to develop their skills, enhance client service and build even stronger practices.

She started her career in practice managing a mixed portfolio of clients from start-ups to established medium sized companies and specialising in business planning and tax compliance.

She later moved into training, becoming a Tutor at Kaplan delivering AAT, ACCA and ICAEW courses and, as an account manager, supporting employers with onboarding and tracking progress of their students. Most recently she has specialised in learning technology, exploring the latest developments to enhance the learning experience.

Samantha Skyring, head of network development at The TaxAssist Group, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Caron to the TaxAssist Support Centre team. She brings a wealth of practical experience as both an accountant and an educator, along with a real passion for helping others to reach their potential. Her appointment further strengthens our commitment to providing best-in-class training and development for our network.”

Betts added: “I’m delighted to be joining such a dynamic and supportive organisation. I look forward to working closely with franchisees and their teams to support their continued growth, professional development and success.”
