Gravita has relocated its Essex-based team to a new office in Brentwood. The move to the ‘Create’ business hub is the final stage of a three-year programme to upgrade the firm’s five UK locations, including sites in London, Oxford, Exeter and Bristol.

The Brentwood office will house the team formerly known as Davis Grant, which joined Gravita in May 2023.

The firm stated that the location was chosen for its proximity to the London-Stansted-Cambridge innovation corridor, which contains more than 5,000 technology businesses.

The relocation follows the recent appointment of Lisa Mayhew as chief executive. Mayhew is leading a growth strategy focused on regional investment and infrastructure for the firm’s accountancy and tax advisory services.

The Essex office currently manages a portfolio of startups and established businesses within the local technology ecosystem.

The move provides a more modern environment for the existing staff and is intended to support further recruitment in the region.

Ben Chernoff, Essex lead partner and head of managed business services, said: “Investing in our teams and creating the right environment for them to deliver exceptional service is central to our strategy.”

“This new office provides our team the collaborative space and connectivity needed to support clients more effectively, while positioning us at the heart of a flourishing technology ecosystem.”

Chernoff added: “Brentwood provides a fantastic base to support both existing clients and the next generation of ambitious businesses emerging across Essex and the wider innovation corridor.”
