Interpath has hired Brad Goodey to lead its financial restructuring practice in Ireland, supporting stakeholders in managing stressed and distressed corporate financial situations.
Goodey joins as a managing director with 25 years of experience, moving from EY-Parthenon’s turnaround and restructuring strategy team.
His career includes roles at Grant Thornton and PwC across Australia, the UK, and Ireland, as well as a secondment with HSBC London’s corporate restructuring team.
The new Irish division will integrate with Interpath’s existing financial restructuring teams in the UK, Europe, and Hong Kong.
The appointment follows the January 2026 announcement that Bridgepoint has entered exclusive negotiations to acquire a majority stake in Interpath.
The firm currently employs 1,000 staff across 33 international locations. Goodey’s role will focus on providing advisory solutions outside of formal insolvency processes, targeting corporates, lenders, and financial sponsors facing economic or geopolitical challenges.
Interpath’s expansion into the Irish financial restructuring market is part of a broader strategy to scale its advisory and restructuring practices following its departure from KPMG.
The Dublin-based team will work alongside the firm’s London-based restructuring specialists to manage cross-border mandates and complex debt advisory requirements.
Kieran Wallace, head of Interpath in Ireland and global head of restructuring, said: “We have created a team with corporate advisory practitioners under one roof and are investing across our restructuring and advisory practices. Brad’s knowledge of financial restructuring and track record advising organisations in distress through challenges outside of formal processes deepens the support we can offer clients as they navigate a demanding environment.”
Goodey added: “Interpath has independence from conflicts and an ambition to grow. As Irish businesses continue to be impacted by economic and geopolitical conditions, I look forward to helping clients navigate these challenges by providing independent advice and delivering restructuring solutions beyond traditional insolvency processes. I am working with the Dublin team and Interpath’s international restructuring network.”
