BK Plus has appointed Calvin Bond as corporate finance partner to lead its deal advisory offering in Scotland

Based in Glasgow, Bond will advise small to medium-sized enterprises and private equity clients on acquisitions and business sales.

The appointment follows a period of growth for the firm in Scotland, which recently expanded its network to eight locations including Stirling.

Bond joins the business with experience in healthcare, professional services, and international transactions.

His remit includes strategic shareholder planning, growth funding, and financial due diligence.

Bond previously worked across regional advisory and London-based accountancy practices, managing deals involving international acquirers and debt finance.

The move coincides with the recent arrival of David Meldrum to the restructuring team.

Management stated the hires reflect a commitment to building a national advisory team capable of supporting businesses through various growth stages.

Bond said: “I enjoy helping business owners to sell, grow or transition their business, and joining bk plus gives me a strong platform to do exactly that. I’m excited to lead the growth of our deal advisory business in the Scottish market and the firm has a genuine commitment to its clients and a depth of expertise across its teams.”

Mark Parsons, head of advisory, added: “Calvin is a fantastic addition to the team. He brings real depth of experience in deal advisory and a client-focused approach that aligns closely with how we work. His appointment strengthens our presence in Scotland and reflects our ongoing commitment to building a national advisory team.”

Kenneth McEwen, managing partner in Glasgow, concluded: “It is fantastic to see the growth in our Scottish teams. Calvin’s appointment in Corporate Finance, alongside David Meldrum’s recent arrival in our Restructuring team, reflects the strength and ambition of what we are building here.”
