Grant Thornton UK has appointed David Pike as equity partner to lead its London Turnaround and Restructuring Division. 

In his new role, Pike will work alongside Kevin Coates, who continues to run the national practice.  

The firm said Pike is a “senior and established leader” in the London restructuring market, 

and was most recently Interpath’s head of the London Restructuring Group. Prior to this role, he was a partner at KPMG.

Pike has acted as administrator for several high-profile companies, including HMV, Flybe, and Monarch Aircraft. His experience includes domestic and international assignments across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He has also served as an expert witness in restructuring plans for McDermott and MGT Teeside.

His client base includes sponsors, funders, government agencies, and regulators. He has previously worked alongside the senior official receiver on special manager appointments for companies such as Thomas Cook.
