Baker Tilly has announced a partnership with HubSync to standardise and automate its tax engagement processes.

The move involves implementing a unified digital environment designed to improve document collaboration, digital approvals, and engagement visibility across the firm’s tax practice.

The collaboration focuses on using AI-enabled workflows to reduce administrative tasks for tax professionals.

By consolidating disparate systems into a single platform, the firm aims to provide clients with greater transparency and real-time insights throughout the tax lifecycle.

The initiative is part of a broader investment by Baker Tilly to modernise its service delivery model.

The firm stated that the integration of HubSync’s technology will allow its staff to prioritise strategic advisory work over manual data management and process administration.

Baker Tilly operates as a member of Baker Tilly International, a global network spanning 147 territories with a combined revenue of $6.8bn (£6.42bn).

The partnership with HubSync follows similar digitisation efforts across the professional services sector as firms seek to meet evolving client expectations for seamless digital interaction.

Lynette Stolarzyk, Baker Tilly managing principal – Tax and Tax Advisory, said: “This collaboration strengthens how we combine technology, data and professional expertise to deliver a more connected and responsive tax experience. AI is helping our professionals spend less time on administrative processes and more time focused on strategic guidance and client service.”

John McGowan, founder and CEO of HubSync, added: “Baker Tilly is taking a thoughtful approach to modernising the tax experience in ways that strengthen collaboration, improve transparency and support the expertise their professionals bring to clients every day. We are proud to collaborate with Baker Tilly on this transformation.”
