Grant Thornton UK and Estu have launched a joint partnership to help organisations build in-house skills for large-scale innovation and transformation.
The Centre of Innovation and Change provides a framework of programmes funded by the apprenticeship levy.
The initiative forms a core part of Grant Thornton’s future skills offering and targets sectors facing pressure from artificial intelligence and structural change.
The framework includes a 15-month leadership programme for managers and transformation leads.
Participants work toward a Chartered Management Institute award in leadership and management while applying service design and systems thinking to live organisational projects.
A separate programme focuses on early-career talent to support workforce development and social mobility. Organisations can also co-design bespoke academies tailored to specific corporate priorities and functions.
Research by the firm indicates that 76% of businesses view apprenticeships as important to their workforce strategy in 2026, with 33% considering them critical for closing skills gaps.
Simon Littlewood, Estu chief executive, said: “For organisations to be the most adaptable to change, their people across roles and functions need to be equipped with relevant skills and capability. This exciting partnership with Grant Thornton provides an exceptional opportunity for learners to develop these skills and embrace change confidently.”
Ruth Walsh, Grant Thornton UK partner and head of future skills consulting, added: “An encouraging 76% of businesses view apprenticeships as important to their workforce strategy, with 33% seeing them as critical for closing skills gaps. We are delighted to partner with Estu on this pioneering apprenticeship.”
