S&W has appointed Melissa Ng and Paul Wong as partners within its business tax practice to support its international and innovation-focused growth.
Ng will lead the firm’s international tax and transactions offering for private capital clients. She will focus on strengthening capabilities across Asian markets and providing cross-border solutions for funds and family offices.
Ng has more than 15 years of experience and previously held the position of senior director at Alvarez and Marsal. She also worked at Grant Thornton, advising clients investing in the UK and Europe.
Meanwhile, Wong joins the firm to manage growth in the research and development (R&D) sector. He specialises in R&D tax incentives and innovation-focused tax matters for a client base ranging from startups to multinational corporations.
With nearly 15 years of experience in UK R&D tax, Wong has held senior roles at Deloitte, BDO, and Alvarez and Marsal. He also has industry experience within the built environment sector.
