National accountancy and advisory firm MHA has appointed Nicola Clark as partner to lead and expand its restructuring services across the North West

Clark, a qualified and licensed insolvency practitioner with over 20 years of experience, joins from top-10 firm Azets.

Based primarily in Manchester, Clark will also work across the firm’s offices in Liverpool, Preston, Lancaster, and Kendal.

Her expertise includes advising lenders, directors, and shareholders on administrations, liquidations, and corporate simplification, with a particular focus on asset recovery within the property sector.

The appointment follows MHA’s record financial performance, with the firm reporting a 45% revenue increase to £224.2m for the year ending 31 March 2025.

Currently ranked as the 11th largest accountancy group in the UK, MHA aims to reach the top 10 with a turnover target of £500m.

Andrew Feeke, partner and head of MHA’s Manchester office, said: “As a firm, we continue to expand our advisory services across the UK and felt Manchester presented an opportunity to further grow our restructuring offering. Nicola is an enormously experienced insolvency professional with an impressive record of collaborating with clients.”

Clark added: “This is a great opportunity for me to help MHA establish and grow a dedicated restructuring service in the region. My approach is always to help clients and their advisors understand all the options available to them and then to focus on providing pragmatic solutions.

“I want to use the experience, skillset and relationships I’ve developed throughout my career to support clients to achieve good outcomes, whether that’s businesses facing challenges or solvent restructuring processes.”
