Accountancy firm Wbg has appointed Keith Miller as partner and head of indirect tax.
Miller, who will be based in the Manchester office, joins the firm with more than 30 years of experience in the sector.
He most recently served as northwest VAT partner at Azets and previously held specialist roles at Deloitte and KPMG.
His professional background includes leading merger and acquisition VAT offerings across the North of England. Miller also served as a VAT partner at corporate finance specialist DSW.
In his new role, Miller will hold a national brief to grow the firm’s indirect tax team. His expertise includes land and property transactions, online services, and cross-border financial transactions.
Miller said: “I’m greatly looking forward to adding my extensive VAT experience to the range of tax services Wbg can offer its expanding client base.”
“What attracted me to this role is the ambitious growth plans of Wbg’s leadership team together with the opportunity to assume responsibility for growing an indirect tax team as an integral part of the firm’s wider growth strategy.”
Catherine McManus, partner and head of tax at Wbg, added: “We are delighted to welcome Keith as partner within the tax team, expanding our in-house specialist tax services to indirect taxes.
“Keith’s depth of knowledge sets a new benchmark for us in this area and his years of experience in navigating complex VAT and indirect tax issues, alongside his strategic insight, further strengthens our capabilities.”
