Bishop Fleming has appointed Eoin Heeney as a corporate tax partner in its Birmingham office, as the accountancy firm continues to build its presence in the Midlands.
Heeney joins from KPMG, where he spent 18 years advising on corporate tax matters. His experience includes working with businesses across sectors such as industrial and manufacturing, automotive, retail, food and real estate, with a particular focus on Midlands-based companies.
Bishop Fleming said the appointment strengthens its corporate tax capability in Birmingham and supports plans to scale the office into a significant regional hub.
Heeney’s arrival follows a series of senior appointments made by the firm in Birmingham over the past year, reflecting its intention to establish a long-term presence in the Midlands.
The office is growing as part of Bishop Fleming’s wider Better Growth strategy, which focuses on investing in key regional markets and replicating the scale of its established Bristol operation.
Within corporate tax, the firm plans to expand its Birmingham-based team to more than 20 specialists, with further hires expected during 2026 in response to increasing demand for advisory services in the West Midlands.
Mark Taylor, Birmingham office lead at Bishop Fleming, said: “Eoin’s appointment represents another step forward in our Birmingham growth plans. He brings strong technical expertise, deep regional knowledge and a collaborative approach that will support the continued expansion of our corporate tax offering.”
Heeney added: “Birmingham and the wider West Midlands present a significant opportunity, and I’m looking forward to helping build a corporate tax team that can provide high-quality, practical advice to businesses across the region.”
