Beever and Struthers has announced that it has promoted Dean Curtis and Joe Diston to partner, bringing its total partner group to 18.

Curtis has led the firm’s corporate finance offering since rejoining the company in 2021 and has been “instrumental” in advising entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses across the region on buying, selling, and funding transactions.

With over 18 years’ experience, Curtis is a fellow of the ACCA and holds a Certificate in Corporate Finance from the CISI.

Meanwhile, Diston joined the firm in October 2023 as audit director before stepping into the partner role and brings a wealth of audit experience from his 15 years in the Big Four.

He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and also serves as a non-executive director for a multi-academy education trust.

Maria Hallows, executive partner at Beever and Struthers, said: “We’re delighted to welcome both Dean and Joe to the partnership. Dean brings energy, commercial focus, and deep transactional insight that will continue to grow our corporate finance offering in the North West and nationally.

“Joe brings an exceptional technical audit background, coupled with a people-first approach that strengthens our core audit services across all sectors. Together, they enhance our ability to deliver outstanding advice and value to clients at every stage of their journey.”

Curtis added: “There’s no such thing as a typical day in corporate finance. Each transaction is unique, which is exactly what makes the role so rewarding. I’m thrilled to accept the role of partner and continue growing our presence in this space.”

Beever and Struthers is a member firm of HLB International with offices in Manchester, London, Birmingham offering its clients national and global reach.
