Bolton accountancy practice, CHW, will officially rebrand as Cowgills at the end of April marking another significant milestone in the firm’s development and aligning with its long-term strategic growth ambitions.
Having been part of the Cowgills group since the acquisition of Warings in 2016, which later rebranded, CHW has consistently supported owner-managed businesses and SME’s across Bolton and the wider region.
The firm said the rebrand represents a “natural evolution, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to delivering expert advice and services under one unified, trusted name”.
The move follows Cowgill’s recent acquisition of Wigan based NRB and builds on the momentum from the firm’s integration into the Sumer Group in early 2024. With Sumer’s backing, Cowgills is accelerating its growth strategy through the acquisition of like-minded firms that share its entrepreneurial approach and commitment to client success.
The firm currently has offices in Bolton, Manchester, Liverpool and Wigan, with plans to expand its reach in locations across the North West.
Paul Stringer, managing partner at Cowgills, said: “Bringing CHW fully under the Cowgills name strengthens the depth and breadth of services available to our clients, giving them access to a wider pool of expertise across the group. This is an exciting new chapter for us one that reinforces our focus on supporting ambitious, growing businesses across the region.”
Ian Orgill, partner at CHW, added: “While we’ve always been part of the Cowgills family, this rebrand provides a clear opportunity to focus our proposition and grow the brand across the North
West. We’re incredibly proud to be part of Cowgills and look forward to an exciting future.”
