Allan joined Haysmacintyre as a trainee in 2012, qualified in 2016, and was promoted to director in 2020 after progressing swiftly through her managerial career.

Named in the Accountancy Age Top 35 under 35 in 2024, and a key contributor to the financial services sector, Allan’s clients include wealth managers and advisory businesses, alongside fintech, venture capital and private equity firms.

She currently serves as co-head of Haysmacintyre’s Financial Services team. Established over 20 years ago, the financial services sector now comprises 11 partners and over 100 staff, acting for over 250 clients across a variety of services.

Allan said: “I am excited to join the partners and continue building on our achievements within financial services, providing exceptional client service and driving the firm forward as Co-Head of the Financial Services sector.

“This promotion marks the pinnacle in my career to date. The support and encouragement I have received throughout my progression from trainee to partner at Haysmacintyre has been fantastic. I am proud to continue to foster this environment, developing the leaders of the future.”

Natasha Frangos, managing partner at Haysmacintyre, added: “Karen’s promotion demonstrates how we nurture and retain our talent to develop future leaders. I am thrilled that Karen will be joining our partner team to continue driving the business forward and adapting our services to the changing needs of our clients.

“Karen has been integral to the growth of our Financial Services business and development of the team. She has also been key to establishing our Cape Town team and will be instrumental in delivering the future growth plans as she becomes a Director of our South African entity.”
