Grant Thornton has joined the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) as an associate.

The firm, which employs 68,000 people in 750 offices across 140 countries, was made a BIBA associate due to its role bringing “trust and integrity” to financial markets, which enables firms to grow dynamically and sustainably.

BIBA said it has also helped insurance firms realise their strategic ambitions, optimise operations, master risk, meet regulatory obligations, with “the talent battle” and finance growth.

In addition, the areas of expertise that it can support insurers in are business risk services, regulatory, financial crime, tax, corporate finance, business consulting, audit and assurance, as well as actuarial and risk.

Rob Benson, partner and head of insurance at Grant Thornton, said: “We’re excited to be working more closely than ever with BIBA as an associate.

“We’re committed to supporting its members, and the wider insurance market, through the challenges and opportunities arising in the future.”
