Charles Stanley has announced the appointment of Ling Au-Yeung as a portfolio manager in the firm’s AIM Inheritance Tax team.

Au-Yeung joins from Brooks Macdonald, where she was an investment director within its AIM Service. Prior to this, she worked as an AIM analyst at Rathbones and as a senior investment manager at Adam and Company in Edinburgh.

Charles Stanley’s AIM team currently manages over £430m of assets, and has helped over 450 clients pass on their wealth to future generations.

Au-Yeung will report directly to James Rae, head of IHT, and is based in Edinburgh. The team draws on expertise from across the group and is fully integrated with the broader asset management and research team.

James Rae, head of IHT at Charles Stanley, said: “Ling is an excellent addition to the team who brings a deep knowledge of UK AIM portfolios after specialising in the area for over 14 years.

“Her personal experience and knowledge of the individual companies and their management teams should help us to maintain our strong track record of building and managing successful AIM portfolios for our clients.”
