Sanderson Design Group has announced the appointment of BDO as its new external auditor with immediate effect.

This appointment follows a “competitive” tender process which was led by the company’s audit committee. PwC, the group’s previous auditor, did not participate in the process owing to their length of tenure as the group’s auditor and formally resigned.

As a result, BDO will audit the company’s financial statements for the year ending 31 January 2022.

The company said: “The re-appointment of BDO as auditor for the following financial year will be subject to shareholder approval at the annual general meeting of the company to be held in 2022.

“The board wishes to express its thanks to PwC for their service and support over the period of their tenure.”

Sanderson Design Group employs approximately 600 people and its products are sold worldwide with showrooms in London, New York, Chicago, Paris, Amsterdam and Dubai.
