Baked goods retailer Cake Box, has announced that RSM informed the board of its decision to step down as its auditor on 16 September 2021.

As a result of the firm’s decision, the retailer subsequently revealed MacIntyre Hudson as the company’s newest auditor with immediate effect.

The appointment follows a competitive tender process, overseen by the audit committee, which were tasked with replacing RSM.

The company said: “In accordance with the relevant Companies Act 2006 requirements, a copy of the resignation letter and statement of reasons will be sent to shareholders of the company.”
