360 Chartered Accountants has appointed Jordan Taylor as its new personal tax trainee.

Taylor will be based at the firm’s Withernsea office, which opened two years ago following a merger with accountancy firm, Walsh and Co.

He began his accountancy career four years ago after leaving Withernsea High School after his GCSEs to work for a small independent local practice. He is now studying for his AAT Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT ) qualification.

Andy Steele, founder and director of 360 Chartered Accountants, said: “We are delighted that Jordan has joined us. For the last four years he has gained excellent experience in accountancy and personal tax so is a very useful addition to our Withernsea team.

“Jordan is currently helping to prepare personal tax returns in time for HMRC’s deadline at the end of January. He will then move to the accounts department in February to work on a wide range of activities including year end accounts, bookkeeping, VAT returns and so on.”

Earlier this month, 360’s Hull and East-Yorkshire based branch announced a merger with its two sister companies 5Four Payroll and 360 Mentor.

Steele added: “These mergers make perfect sense. It’s been something we’ve been looking at for quite some time and we’re very pleased that our clients agreed. It streamlines our own accounting process as well as simplifying everything for clients.

“The 5Four Payroll and 360 Mentor brands are remaining. They will just formally come under the 360 Accountants umbrella. There is no change in service offering.”
