Chartered accountancy firm MHA has promoted Stuart MacPherson and Ben Sutherland to partner. The move follows a period of expansion for the firm’s Scottish operations.
In Aberdeen, MacPherson transitions to partner from his previous role as director of audit and accounts.
He has been with the firm for 25 years and specialises in the manufacturing and engineering sectors, providing statutory accounts compliance and VAT support.
In Edinburgh, Sutherland has been promoted to partner 13 years after joining the firm as a trainee.
His work within the accounts and business advisory services team focuses on the agriculture and technology sectors, as well as providing tax support for owner-managed businesses.
Michael Reid, chief operating officer for Scotland at MHA, said: “Stuart and Ben’s promotions reflect the strength of talent within the firm and the consistent value they deliver to clients.
“Both bring deep technical expertise and a strong understanding of client needs, and have built trusted relationships across their respective sectors. Their progression to partner recognises their contribution to the firm and the role they will continue to play in its development.”
