Xeinadin has acquired Bournemouth-based accountancy practice Alan W Simons and Co to strengthen its presence and services for small firms on the south coast.

The regional firm was founded by Alan Simons in 1992 and has grown from a home office into an established practice supporting businesses and individuals across the region. Many of its earliest clients remain with the firm today.

The six-person team provides a full range of services including audit, tax, value added tax and advisory work. It focuses on owner-managed businesses, family-run enterprises, estate planning and capital gains tax across multiple generations.

Director Alan Simons has more than four decades of experience in accountancy, having held senior roles within larger organisations before establishing his own practice.

Managing partner for Xeinadin South East, Andrew Gaete, said: “Alan and his team in Bournemouth have been supporting local businesses in their daily operations for the past thirty years. You couldn’t find a more suitable team to continue that mission for Xeinadin if you tried. Alan’s combination of practical knowledge and technical strength is a valuable addition to Xeinadin, both locally in Bournemouth and across the wider practice.”

Simons added: “Looking after our clients and our team was the most important factor in deciding to join Xeinadin. We’ve always taken a long-term view, working closely with businesses and the families behind them. Being part of a wider organisation allows us to continue that approach, while having the support and expertise available when we need it.”
