Shaw Gibbs has appointed accounts partner Brian Clifford to its Sutton office as the firm continues to strengthen its presence across Greater London.

Clifford has more than 20 years’ experience working with owner-managed businesses and has advised clients across sectors including publishing, manufacturing, property and not-for-profit organisations.

He joins from a London practice, where he served as partner for four years.

Clifford’s appointment will enhance the firm’s accounts services, support the development of its advisory offering and help mentor future leaders within the business.

Leanne Humphreys, partner at Shaw Gibbs, said: “We are delighted to welcome Brian to the firm. His breadth of experience and commitment to client service will be invaluable as we continue to grow our presence in Sutton and Greater London.”

Clifford added: “I was keen to join a firm with a strong local presence and deep involvement in the community, and Shaw Gibbs fit that perfectly. Beyond being a top 40 accountancy practice, the firm’s commitment to community engagement really drew me in. I look forward to working with the team in Sutton and helping clients navigate complex financial challenges and achieve their goals.”
