Shaw Gibbs has announced the appointment of Pete Latham as its new head of mergers and acquisitions to lead the firm’s strategic growth.
Based in Bristol, Latham will be responsible for the firm’s acquisition strategy and will work with senior leadership to drive long-term expansion through selected purchases.
He is a chartered accountant who trained with EY and has worked across advisory, investment and corporate environments.
Latham previously spent eight years as an investor at Lloyds Development Capital, a mid-market private equity house. He then served eight years as strategy and mergers and acquisitions director at A-Gas International, a global industrial products business.
During his time at A-Gas International, the business completed approximately 15 acquisitions and tripled its turnover and employee numbers.
Latham said: “I am excited to be joining Shaw Gibbs at this fantastic development stage, and I am looking forward to supporting the firm’s continued growth through acquisitions aligned to its culture and long-term vision.”
