Professional services group S&W has announced the appointment of Lisa O’Donnell to the role of partner to lead its risk advisory consulting team.

According to the firm, this latest appointment forms part of its wider strategy to strengthen its market position in advisory services, with risk advisory seen as a key component in helping clients safeguard and grow their operations.

O’Donnell joins from PwC, where she spent more than 18 years providing advisory and assurance services. She most recently helped build the firm’s sustainability practice within its risk division, advising clients on regulatory and reporting requirements.

Her career has spanned both the UK and Australia, working with clients ranging from multinational corporations to smaller enterprises on risk management, controls, internal audit and sustainability.

O’Donnell said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining S&W at this exciting time of investment and growth. It’s also a huge privilege to lead risk advisory which brings together my sustainability, risk, controls, and internal audit experience into one place as well as bringing in exceptional talent across technology risk.”

Claire Burden, head of consulting at S&W, added: “Lisa brings a significant wealth of experience and insight alongside a passion for helping clients solve business issues, manage risk and protect value. Her appointment reflects our commitment to growing our consulting business and providing complementary services that help our clients thrive in a complex and evolving environment.”
