Begbies Traynor’s head of the Staffordshire office, Michaela Daly, has been shortlisted as a finalist at the Enterprise Vision Awards (EVAs) 2023 in the ‘Employer of the Year’ category.
In the nomination, Daly has been recognised for “supporting women in the industry and creating a diverse, supportive and progressive environment for women to flourish and prosper”.
The EVAs are the UK’s largest business awards, dedicated solely to recognising the achievements of women in business.
The award came about to put the spotlight on women who are leading the way in their industries and judge shortlisted candidates on turnover, growth, creativity, ethics, passion and commitment.
Daly has played a pivotal role in growing the Staffordshire office since it was acquired from Dunion and Co by Begbies Traynor in 2019. The team has grown significantly in Staffordshire during that time, and continues to expand from its dedicated offices at Lymedale Business Park.
Daly said: “This is a tremendous honour to be on the shortlist, particularly in this category. My own life experiences have shaped my leadership style, and I believe in leading by example.
“I think it is important to inspire my team to feel good and engaged about the positive work they are doing to support businesses, but also carve out a full life beyond their careers.”
The winners of the EVAs will be announced at an awards ceremony on 29 September, hosted at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
